Decision Making

Decision making is vital to our life, career and every aspects from small decisions such as the place of having lunch or dinner to big decisions such as changing of job, investment, purchasing of properties or choosing our life partner. I find the following decision making procedure quite useful especially I'm encounting problems, troublesomes
or opportunities.
(courteosy the figure from Mind Performance Hack)
You can look at the table presents the various possibilities which a problem might occur. This chart can give us an insight of how can we deal with a problem which we don't know how to handle. As I learned to make decision on the basic of this principle I'm finding that actually any problems arising from the real world can be modelled with the chart and lead us to the answer of the problem.
In my time of diffcuties, I thinks about the method of solving problems and find it useful in making decision for every aspects of life. Perhaps some problems can not be solved immediately, but if we know the priorties of the duty or problems to be solved then we can opt for other problems. For example, in my class we discuss about the calculus and algebra. Some students who from art stream may poor in algebra and make them performing poorly in calculus. Then the student can priortize the problems and put effort to do well in algebra before coming back to the problems encountering in calculus. As a result, the problem was indirectly solved through the priortization process.

KBU farewell on 28 Nov 2008

On 28 Nov 2008 was the last day in KBU after 7 .5 years of working as tutor then subsequently as Lecturer in Engineering School of KBU. Honestly, I was also a KBU graduate with my first degree in Electronics & Computing. On that day, my colleagues held a farewell lunch at Mahanttan Fish at BU Centerpoint which is attached together with KBU hostel with 15 min walking distance. You can see the photo where I had luncheon with my colleagues on that day.I also would like to express my gratitude to all my colleagues and superiors.

On the above photo, the two ladies are my colleague and deputy head. They are Ms. Chan and Dr. Christine whose sitting from left to right respectively. Ms. Chan is the lecturer in school of engineering and computing majoring in control and communication. We worked together for many years and especially while I was taking on the post as lecturer, we shared the same field of speciality. Over the time of teaching, we were able to work together in harmony and cooperation, to me this is a very precious working relationship and friendship.

As for Dr.Christine Lee, she was my lecturer while I was still a student who taught me C++ and problem solving in programming. She acts as the advisor of KBU Christian Fellowship and she is a very dedicated christian and a down to earth Lecturer with good and profound knowledge in computing. She also the deputy head of my school, althought I was not directly under her, but I still found happy to work with her as she is a kind superior to her subordinates.

The three handsome guys on the photo are my best friends cum ex-colleagues. We always had lunch together while i was working with KBU.Let me introduce them to you, from the left are Albert Tan who is a young and ambitious guy, then next is Mr. Ang Yiaw Hong a kind and gentleman then come to the last person on the right is Mr. Eric Go, a happy going and adventurous guy.

Ha Ha, the two ladies on the photo are my boss secretary Ms. Linda on the left and colleague Ms. Tihna on the right. Ms. Linda is a good helping hand to my boss and all staffs in engineering and computing school. I would like to thank her help the time i needs some PC equipments for Lecturing and filling of teaching materials.

Ms. Tihna also my good colleague with two kids recently, one big and one still an infant. Of course she also have a big kid to protect her all the time. She is a good friends to all of us as we can feel the sincerity as friend to us. We always have fun and jokes after office hours to make us a vivid and colourful teaching life in KBU. That why you can see, I'm still young though in 2009 I'm already carry 1 digit forward to my age. Ha ha. Still Got some photos to be post but just afraid that the article too long and can not be posted to blogger. So to be continue ...................
